Dual-cryptocurrency, Bitcoin and Strat, light wallet with security features to keep your wallet safe and protected.
The Stratis Core wallet is a staking wallet which allows you to send and receive STRAT coins and stake to help secure the network whilst receiving staking rewards.
The Breeze Wallet is a “lightweight”, online wallet which allows you to send and receive STRAT and BTC. This means you can pay for goods and services as well as receiving payments using either coin.
Breeze with Privacy Protocol service
This variation of the Breeze wallet has all the original features plus a built-in Privacy Protocol service.
The Stratis Core wallet is an online wallet which allows you to send and receive STRAT coins.
The Stratis blockchain uses a Proof of Stake (PoS) algorithm to validate transactions, so owners of STRAT can decide to stake their STRAT. Once you are staking STRAT, you can write blocks to the blockchain and earn STRAT doing this. Importantly, the Stratis Core wallet is dual purpose; it enables you to stake your STRAT in addition to making transactions.
Staking helps you strengthen the blockchain network on which your STRAT coins are held. A full copy of the Stratis blockchain is held on every device the Stratis Core wallet is running on, so the wallet is effectively sitting on top of a Stratis Full Node. When the Full Node detects STRAT coins have been staked, it actively mines thereby contributing to the overall power and resilience of the network. Because even small stakes have a chance to mine, staking democratizes the mining process when compared with Proof of Work solutions. To have any chance of earning rewards from mining on a mature Proof of Work blockchain, considerable expenditure on hardware and energy is required.
The Breeze wallet doesn’t need to validate either the full Stratis blockchain or the full Bitcoin blockchain. This allows the Breeze wallet to run on devices with lower storage capabilities. It suits the user who does not want to mine on either blockchain but instead wants to make transactions while keeping a smaller footprint on their device. However, when compared with web wallets, the Breeze wallet offers more security as it does not have to trust servers with transaction information.
- The Privacy Protocol service allows organizations to obfuscate business to business Bitcoin transactions securely on the blockchain. Using the Privacy Protocol service, the coins in a payment make a journey from the “receiving” wallet to another “fresh” wallet. During this journey, the transactions that are executed serve to tumble (scramble) each coin. When the coins arrive as a series of transactions in the destination wallet, they cannot be traced to the coins in the original transaction.
